Chesapeake, VA (August 16, 2024) – On Thursday, August 15, a serious crash involving a vehicle and a cyclist occurred at the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Rd and Hillwell Rd. The incident was reported around 4:20 p.m. The Chesapeake Police Department responded to the scene. Emergency personnel arrived quickly and transported the cyclist to a local hospital for treatment. The cyclist sustained significant injuries in the collision. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the authorities. Authorities are currently investigating the circ*mstances of the crash. Further details will be provided as the inquiry into the cause of the incident progresses.
